Full-length Characterization of S1 Gene of Iranian QX Avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus Isolates, 2015

چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aims: Avian infectious bronchitis (IB) has prevalent in the most chicken farms during recent years, in spite of the IB vaccination program which has been widely performed in Iran. To better understand the molecular epidemiology of IBV in Iran, the full length sequences of S1 gene of Iranian QX IBVs were determined and phylogenetic analysis was done using some sequences of IBV. Materials and Methods: To better understand the molecular epidemiology of IBV in Iran, the full length sequences of S1 gene of Iranian QX IBVs were determined and phylogenetic analysis was done using some sequences of IBV. Results: Iranian QX IBVs were located in LX4 (Cluster 2). The nucleotides homologies were 99.52% - 100% between the isolates. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that all the IBV isolates were very similar and probably had a common origin. The hyperactive variable regions of S1 were determined. Conclusions: The results from this study and other published results in the GenBank database showed that the isolates circulating in Iran in recent years were mainly LX4 (Cluster 2) genotype, which is the predominant genotype circulating in Iran in recent years (After first report of QX IBV in Iran, 2011). This finding provides important information on IBV evolution in Iran.

Molecular characterization of recent Iranian infectious bronchitis virus isolates based on S2 protein gene
Background: Avian infectious bronchitis (IB), with avianinfectious bronchitis virus (IBV) as the causing agent, is a ubiquitous endemicdisease of the chicken with devastating effects on its industry. A viralmembrane surface protein called S notonly induces neutralizing antibodies but also plays an important role in virusbinding and entry to host cells. Technically, S1 protein gene sequencing a...
متن کاملNucleotide Sequence Analysis of S1 Gene among Iranian Avian Infectious Bronchitis Viruses Isolated during 2001-2002
Infectious bronchitis (IB) virus genome codes for four structural proteins, among which the S1 subunit of spike glycoprotein comprises the major epitopes to induce neutralizing antibodies. This study involved the comparison of the full S1 sequences of five IB viruses, namely two Massachusetts and three 793/B serotypes, isolated from IB outbreaks during 2001-2002, with all other Iranian an...
متن کاملSequences and Phylogenetic Analysis of Envelope (E) Gene of Iranian Infectious Bronchitis Virus Isolates in Iran
Background and Aims: Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is the etiological agent of infectious bronchitis (IB), which is an acute and highly contagious disease of the respiratory and sometimes the urogenital tracts of chickens. In Iran, the disease has been identified in chicken flocks with serological and virus isolation methods. Gene 3c (E) encode envelop (small membrane) protein. For envelope...
متن کاملCharacterization of the Full Length Coat Protein Gene of Iranian Grapevine fanleaf virus isolates, genetic variation and phylogenetic analysis
The full-length coat protein gene of Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) isolates from Iran was characterized byreverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR) and sequencing. The expected 1515 bp coatprotein (CP) gene amplicon was obtained for 16 isolates out of 89 that were identified by double antibodysandwich enzyme-linked immunesorbent assay (DASELISA) in a population ...
متن کاملPrevalence of avian infectious bronchitis virus in broiler chicken farms in south of Iraq, 2014 – 2015
Avian infectious bronchitis (IB), caused by a gammacoronavirus, is an OIE-listed (List B) disease and characterized by respiratory and renal involvements, causing high mortality, and economic loss in both layers and broilers. In comparison with other diagnostic methods, real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and conventional RT-PCR are potent, more sensitive and faster techniques for infe...
متن کاملEmergence of variant avian infectious bronchitis virus in India
Background: Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is the etiological agent of an acute and highly contagious disease. Infectious bronchitis (IB) affects chicken of all ages and poses major economic loses to the poultry industry worldwide. The continuous evolution of the spike protein (S1) of IBV is responsible for the prevalence of many serotypes/genotypes around the world. Multipl...
